GRADUATING STUDENT PROMOTES VALUE OF INTERNSHIP

Brittney Biggs is a non-traditional accounting student who currently lives in Bowling Green with her husband Davis and their two dogs. Brittney was working full-time when her boss noticed her acumen with numbers and her organizational skills and encouraged her to go back to school. She earned her associate’s degree from a Tennessee community college but felt there was more that she could pursue. She found the Gordon Ford College of Business through research and enrolled here in the fall of 2017. She pursued a number of internships that would give her the much-needed accounting experiences she desired. She worked for both Constellium and the Tennessee Department of Treasury, where she will return in January as a full-time employee. Brittney tirelessly advocates the virtues of internships to all of her fellow classmates. “Internships give you the experiences you need and make you stand out.” Almost 150 students will participate in Commencement exercises this Saturday, December 1
